Yoga Nidra is known as yogic sleep or sleep with awareness. Adding this to your regular routine provides deep restoration to body and mind. This is a full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of complete relaxation, which holistically addresses physiological, neurological, and subconscious needs. In a fast-paced lifestyle, the nervous system is on over drive. Yoga Nidra offers space to turn on the parasympathetic nervous system, which lowers heart rate, reduces stress and allows for balanced regeneration. Once the mind and body settle into a comfortable position lying down, finding a state of ultimate harmony is possible. Brain waves, especially alpha waves are produced and euphoria emerges. This class is perfect for those with physical injuries, recovering from surgery, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression. Please bring two pillows and a small water bottle. If you think you get cold easily, please bring a blanket too.
